Milk Price Transparency Tool

About the Tool

This tool is designed to enhance market transparency by analysing milk price data from processors across Australia. By entering your milk supply curve and selecting your region, you can compare indicative milk prices offered by processors operating in your area.

Please only edit green cells, otherwise the tool may not work. Refresh the webpage to reset the tool. This tool has been developed in conjunction with SADA.

Step-by-Step Guide

The tool is functional on mobile, tablet, and computer. However, we recommend using a computer for the best experience.

Select Your Region

Use the drop-down list at the top of the tool to choose the region where your farm is located.

Enter Your Milk Curve Data

In the green cells, input your milk curve data for each month. The total kilograms of milk solids can be calculated by the inputted litres and butterfat and protein percentages. The tool will automatically calculate and display the total litres and kilograms of milk solids (kg MS) in the blue cells as you enter your data.

View Headline Prices

After your milk curve and region are entered, the tool will automatically display the headline prices you would receive from processors that service your area. Links to the webpages of each processor will appear alongside the prices. Prices are shown in:

  • $/Litre
  • $/kg Milk Solids (MS)

Reset the Tool

To clear all data and start again, simply refresh the webpage.
