The Australian Dairy Industry Council (ADIC) Outstanding Service Award recognises and celebrates collaborative leadership provided to the Australian dairy industry, which benefits the dairy farming and/or manufacturing sectors and local communities. It honours individual Australians who, through their leadership, dedication and commitment, have provided outstanding service for the benefit of the industry.
The award was launched in 2006, and the inaugural award was presented to Mr Patrick Rowley in recognition of his leadership and service to the industry over 40 years.
Each year, Australian Dairy Farmers Limited (ADF) and the Australian Dairy Products Federation (ADPF) are invited to nominate individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the Australian dairy industry.
Any individual Australian who has provided outstanding service to the dairy industry in a particular field, such as farming, manufacturing, service industries, representation and research.
The industry bodies of ADF and ADPF, and their respective members, are eligible to make a nomination.
Nominations must be completed on the nomination form supplied by the Australian Dairy Industry Council (ADIC), which will be made available when nominations open each year. Each member body has the opportunity to nominate one individual only.
All nominations will be assessed by a selection panel convened by the ADIC. Selection panel members will comprise representatives of ADF and ADPF, who will review all nominations and select one recipient.
